Victor (Vic) Moreno
My name is Vic! Currently, I am lab managing in Dr. Michael C. Frank's Language and Cognition Lab @ Stanford University. I graduated from Dartmouth College in 2025 with a major in the Quantitative Social Science program. As an undergrad, I studied language, identity, and intergroup relations in Dr. Kiara Sanchez's Social Identity in Dialogue Lab.
I am interested in studying why people exposed to the same information often arrive at very different conclusions. What cognitive and social factors influence how we search for and evaluate information, or how we respond when confronted with ambiguous signals? Under what conditions do seemingly biased reasoning processes actually reflect irrationality?
My hobbies include weightlifting, going on long walks, and in particular, comics! My current favorite character is Hulk (but I will always love Spidey!). I highly recommend reading Hulk: Gray by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale to anyone evenly remotely interested in comics :)
